In the article, "Force-Sensing Gloves could Control an iPhone By Detecting Gestures and How Objects Are Gripped," Owen (2019) has stated that Apple aims to enable people to interact with devices using any form of clothing made using conductive strands in the fabric, such as gloves, which provide force-sensing capabilities. The article describes how a glove could be enabled to detect the pressure and the number of finger the user presses on a surface, delivering different commands. The clothing would incorporate conductive strands, interwoven with normal threads in the fabric, which allows the sending of electrical signals from one section to another. The conductive strands are connected to force sensing circuitry whose signals are sent to a wireless element to send commands or other information to a main device. The article also states that Apple has also thought of adding these fabrics with flexible displays to create smart clothing.

Critical Reflection

For the start of the module, my goal for this module is to break out of my comfort zone and improve myself as a better person in overall and able to communicate well with people regardless of them being stranger or not. I was inspired by Professor Brad on his speech during his module introduction during our SIT exemption talk when he emphasis on communication skills. It is a blessing that I can go through this module with his guidance which allows me to appreciate and improve on my communication skills, report writing and presentation. Professor Brad have tried to bring all of us out of our comfort zone by making the students to read the slides out loud in the small class.
